Providing a place of worship, fellowship, and love to all, even as God loves us!

Whispering Pines was founded in the late 80's as a dream in the hearts of a group of people who met weekly in the music room of a local school.

Seeing the vision that God gave them, they were able to purchase a plot of land and break ground on a new building.  The first service was on a cold winter's day and the building was nothing more than a concrete slab, concrete blocks, a roof and a few chairs inside.  Though the members had to use kerosene heaters to keep warm, their hearts were on fire for the great things that God had done.

Fast forward nerly twenty years later we are still following the vision of providing a place of worship, fellowship, and love and preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ.  In 2016 we have seen over twenty professions of faith and have been blessed to perform seven baptisms.  We live to serve and love the Lord!

We use the King James Bible!
We are Southern Baptist!
We believe in evangelism!

Bro. Towns’ passion and focus on preaching is helping the hurting Christian find peace and victory in their life through living and applying the Biblical principles that God laid out for us in his Word.
Mrs. Towns works passionately with the children’s ministry in the Church.  In addition, she works in the public school system as a special education teacher.  Bro. and Mrs. Towns are proud parents of three wonderful children.
